先週までの雨模様とは変わって宇治市内も猛暑日が続いています。
京都市内は恒例の祇園祭の影響もあって国内外からのかなり多くの観光客で賑わっていますが今年はその人混みから逃れるかの様に「あえて京都市内ではなく宇治を目指して訪れる観光客の方々」も少なからずおられるようです。

宇治はまだまだ宿泊施設が少なく、観光都市としても未完成でおもてなし」が下手でただただのんびりとした田舎街ですが是非ゆっくりと楽しんでもらいたいです。

さて、本日の御紹介は新作のTOTE BAGと少し前に入荷したShoulder Bagの即完売していたBLACKが極少量ではありますが再入荷してきました。

どちらも夏から秋に向けて使い勝手が良いキャンバス地のBAGなので凄くオススメです。
また、今回のNEWSは5月のOPENからご紹介しているDillmates.の様々なオリジナルBAGも全てご紹介させて頂きますので是非、あらためてチェックしてみて下さい。

After all the rain up until last week, the intense summer heat has returned to Uji.
In Kyoto city, the streets are packed with visitors from home and abroad for the annual Gion Matsuri festival. Interestingly, it seems quite a few tourists are deliberately heading to Uji this year, as if escaping the heavy crowds in central Kyoto.

Uji still has relatively few accommodations and, as a tourist destination, feels a bit unpolished—perhaps not the best at grand hospitality, but rather just a relaxed, peaceful town. Still, we genuinely hope everyone takes their time and enjoys the easygoing atmosphere here.

Now, for today’s updates: we are introducing a new TOTE BAG, along with a very limited restock of the Shoulder Bag in BLACK (which had completely sold out shortly after its release)!

Both are canvas bags that are incredibly easy to use, making them perfect go-to items from midsummer right into autumn.
In this update, we’re also re-featuring all the various original Dillmates. bags introduced since our opening in May, so please take a look!

P.S. As shown in the image, the Night Market (Yoichi) will be held on Saturday, July 18th at Osakaya Market, the commercial facility where Dillmates. is located!
For this day only, we’ll be extending our store hours until 9:00 PM—and we’re secretly planning a little something fun for the event.
