本日はDillmatesのオリジナルレーベルの1つであるOldGoodThingsからS/S T-SHIRTSの御紹介になります。

※OldGoodThingsとは、、、、
DillmatesのOPEN前の10年以上前からスタッフBTとストリートダンサー、ダブルダッチャー、スケートボーダー、BMXライダーの各シーンのプレイヤー仲間と共に企画、運営をしていたコミュニティレーベルで名前の通り”古き良きモノを伝承して行く”のをデザインのテーマとしています。
知る人ぞ知る元ネタから生み出したサンプリング物や”ワカルヒトニハワカル”メッセージを数多くのグラフィックで表現をして地道にファンを増やしつつもストリートレーベルという信念のもと、自己発信を貫きファッション誌、TVメディア等からの掲載を長年全て拒否し、爆発的な人気ブランドになれるチャンスを何回も逃し続けた”まさに不器用なストリートレーベル”です。

今回、Dillmates.のOPEN記念としてデザイン「for...Dillmates.」を制作しました。
商品ページの説明にもありますが、Dillmates.のある宇治橋商店街の某人気スポットの前をOldGoodThingsの名物キャラクターである自転車オジサンが爽快に通過するシーンをグラフィックで表現しています。

某人気スポットで伝わるかはわかりませんが入口に世界でトップレベルのpizzariaがある場所と言えばワカル方々も多いかと思います。
宇治で世界レベルを体現してくれているお店さんとしてリスペクトの意を込めてデザインの中にコッソリと入れさせて頂きました。
（ちなみにpizzariaのオーナーさんにはモチロン了承して頂いてます。笑）

OldGoodThingsを長年、サポートして下さっているお客様はモチロン、Dillmates.を通じて出会えた多くの皆様、そして地元宇治の仲間達の全ての方に気に入って頂けるデザインに仕上がったと思っていますので是非、この機会に手に入れて下さいね。

Today, we are excited to introduce a new S/S T-SHIRT from OldGoodThings, one of Dillmates.' original labels.

What is OldGoodThings?
It is a community label formed more than 10 years ago—even before Dillmates. opened—by staff member BT alongside friends and players from various street scenes, including street dancers, double dutchers, skateboarders, and BMX riders. True to its name, the design ethos revolves around "passing down good old things."

From clever sampling designs referencing niche, if-you-know-you-know sources to graphics carrying messages meant for "those who get it," the label steadily built a loyal following. Grounded in a strong street mentality, OldGoodThings stayed true to self-expression—going so far as to turn down every single feature offer from fashion magazines and TV media for years. It is, quite literally, a clumsily headstrong street label that passed up countless chances to become an overnight hit.

To commemorate the opening of Dillmates., we created a special new design: "for...Dillmates."

As mentioned on the product page, the graphic captures a refreshing moment of OldGoodThings' iconic character—the "Bicycle Uncle"—breezing past a certain popular spot on the Uji-bashi Shopping Street where Dillmates. is located.

We’re not sure if just saying "a certain popular spot" gives it away, but many of you might recognize it if we mention it's the place with a world-class pizzeria right at the entrance. We subtly incorporated it into the design as a sign of respect for a shop that embodies world-class quality right here in Uji.
(And yes, of course we got approval from the pizzeria owner! haha)

We believe this design turned out to be something that long-time supporters of OldGoodThings, everyone we’ve met through Dillmates., and our local Uji crew will all love. We hope you take this opportunity to grab one!
